EAST PEORIA, ILL. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team opened the 2013 GLVC Tournament with a 4-2 win over Quincy and an 11-2 win in six innings over William Jewell to advance to the finals of the winners bracket. The Tritons will face top-seeded Indianapolis on Sunday at 11 a.m. in a battle of the two only undefeated teams in the tournament.

Senior
Haleigh Jenkins had two hits and two RBIs in the victory, including a game-winning homerun in the fifth inning that broke a 2-2 tie.
Sophomore
Brittni Chapman picked up the win in two and one-thirds of an inning in relief work. She did not allow a hit, while striking out three.
GLVC Pitcher of the Year
Hannah Perryman allowed two runs on three hits, while striking out eight, in the start.
UMSL tallied six hits to Quincy's three. Sophomore
Madison Zbaraschuk and junior
Allyson Luce each added an RBI hit.
UMSL 11, William Jewell 2 (6 innings)
The Tritons recorded 14 hits, including three home runs. Zbaraschuk finished 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs, while Jenkins was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Zbaraschuk, Jenkins and Wood each homered.
Zbaraschuk's home run was her 12th of the season, which tied the single season record.
Freshman
Hannah Perryman picked up win number 22 on the season, striking out 15 in just six innings of work. She allowed both WJC runs on two hits.
