Men’s and Women’s Swimming Teams Earn Scholar All-America Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's swimming and diving teams for Scholar All-America honors.

UMSL was one of 718 schools to receive the award for the spring semester. Teams were selected based on their spring grade point averages and represent 17,497 student-athletes.

The Tritons were one of nine schools from the Great Lakes Valley Conference that had teams honored. The other GLVC schools with both their men's and women's teams honored were Indianapolis, Lewis, McKendree, Quincy and William Jewell. Additionally, Missouri S&T was recognized on the men's side as was Maryville on the women's side.

During the recently completed 2023 spring semester, the Triton men compiled a 3.35 cumulative GPA, while the Triton women posted a 3.65 GPA.

UMSL's men's and women's swimming and diving teams were also recognized as CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams during the 2022 fall semester.

Lenoir-Rhyne (3.58) and Catawba (3.85) topped all Division II men's and women's teams respectively.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
