INDIANAPOLIS – University of Missouri-St. Louis men's swimmer snagged his third All-America honor at the 2023 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with his fifth place finish in the consolation final in the 200 backstroke on Saturday evening. He earned First Team All-America honors with his sixth place finish in the 100 back and was member of the 200 free relay team that earned honorable mention accolades on Friday evening.
Osa swam out of lane five in the second heat of the 200 back in Saturday morning's prelims. He finished third in his heat and his time was 10th fastest in the event to qualify for the evening finals. Osa's time of 1:46.59 in the consolation final was good for 13th overall.
Conley Savage also swam in heat two of the 200 back and was in lane eight. He finished 22nd overall with a time of 1:47.32.
UMSL's 400 free relay team of Osa,
Austin Stevenson,
David Reynolds and
Aiden Clark swam out of lane six in the first heat and finished third in their heat with a time of 2:59.52. The quartet finished 18th overall in the event.
The Tritons scored 25 points at the championships and finished 22nd overall.
