NORMAN, OKLA. – University of Missouri-St. Louis sophomore
Joel Sylven has been named Honorable Mention All-America, as announced today by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
A repeat selection to the Honorable Mention All-America Team, Sylven is the third player in program history to earn multiple All-America honors and the first since Markus Lindberg was a two-time selection (2016, 2017).
Sylven paced the Tritons with a 73.26 scoring average and recorded top 10 finishes in five of seven tournaments, including three in the top five. An All-GLVC and All-Midwest Region selection, Sylven recorded par or better in nine of 19 rounds, including a season-low 67 at the DII National Preview.
He enters next season as the program's career scoring average leader at 72.36.
