SPRINGFIELD, MO. – The No. 35 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis women's tennis team lost a 5-2 decision to No. 18 Drury on Sunday in the GLVC Tournament Championship as the Tritons were making their first title match appearance.
The Panthers claimed their eighth GLVC championship with the win.
Drury took a 2-1 lead after doubles and posted a 3-1 lead after a two-set win at No. 1 singles. Sophomore
Marina Prediger won at No. 2 singles to get UMSL within 3-2, but the Panthers rallied from one-set down at No. 3 singles before clinching the match at No. 5 singles.
The Tritons fall to 14-5 overall and will learn of their NCAA Tournament plans Tuesday night when the field is announced via NCAA.com.
