SPRINGFIELD, MO. – The No. 35 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis women's tennis team is headed to its first GLVC Tournament championship after defeating No. 28 ranked Bellarmine, 5-0, in Saturday's semifinals.
The Tritons advance to the program's first league title match and will face No. 18 Drury on Sunday at Noon.
UMSL swept doubles to jump out to a 3-0 lead and sealed the match with singles wins at No. 4 (
Annie Hays) and No. 6 (
Janet Auclair). Hays and Auclair also teamed to win No. 3 doubles.
The Tritons improve to 14-4 overall and also avenged a regular season 6-3 loss to Bellarmine with the win.
