ST. LOUIS, MO. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's tennis team saw its hope of the program's first GLVC championship match appearance fall just short on Sunday with a 5-4 loss to No. 14 ranked Drury in the league's tournament semifinals.
The Tritons, who slip to 14-2 overall with both losses coming to Drury to equal 5-4 scores, will learn of their NCAA Tournament fate on Tuesday night when the field is selected. UMSL was ranked sixth in last week's poll with the top seven in the region earning a spot. Drury improves to 20-2 and advances to tomorrow's championship match against Indianapolis.

Salome Bleuler earned a win at No. 2 singles to make it 3-2 before the Panthers went ahead 4-3 with wins at Nos. 3 and 5 singles. Freshman
Marina Prediger won her 20th match of the season at No. 6 to even it at 4-4 with the match then coming down to No. 4 singles. Graduate student
Carlota Trevino lost a 7-6 decision in the first set, took the second set 6-2 and fell in the third set, 7-5.
The match took four hours and 47 minutes to complete.
