KANSAS CITY, MO. – University of Missouri-St. Louis senior goalkeeper
Jack Filla has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) First Team All-Midwest Region, while senior defender
Joe Rund was tabbed to the second team.
Filla, a Second Team All-GLVC selection earlier this season, posted a 10-7-1 record in goal, recording 82 saves, five shutouts and a goals against average of 1.13. He was also a two-time GLVC Defensive Player of the Week selection.
Rund, a First Team All-GLVC selection, started all 18 games in the backfield, helping the Tritons to five shutouts. He also tallied his first UMSL collegiate goal at Truman State.
Rund was also honored as a Second Team All-Midwest Region selection by D2CCA and was named a First Team Academic All-American.
UMSL finished the year with a 10-7-1 record, including a 9-5-1 GLVC mark. The Tritons also received their first NSCAA national ranking earlier this year, which was also the program's first national ranking since 1992.
