LIVE STATSSETTING THE SCENEAfter four straight home games, the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team hits the road with a short trip up I-70 to Lindenwood on Wednesday night. The Tritons will be looking to keep their perfect record in tact and open the season with a 7-0 mark for the first time in program history. UMSL is just one of 21 unbeaten teams in NCAA DII and one of four in the GLVC.
SIZING UP THE TRITONSUMSL improved to 6-0 on Friday night with a 102-42 win over Central Christian of the Bible as the Tritons broke a single-game record with 18 three-pointers. It was the second time that week that UMSL scored more than 100 points, while netting double-figure three-pointers. Last Tuesday, the Tritons defeated Concordia Seminary, 111-52, behind 15 three-pointers, which had tied the previous single game record for made three-pointers. All 12 players scored in both games.

DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSEUMSL ranks second among GLVC teams and is second in NCAA DII in scoring defense, allowing just 56.3 points per game. Additionally, they rank third in the league in field goal percentage defense, holding opponents to 38.4 percent shooting.
ASSIST-TURNOVERUMSL leads all of NCAA DII in assist to turnover ratio at 2.43. The Tritons are coming off a season-best 32 assists against Central Christian and have committed a combined 16 turnovers in their last three contests. They rank third nationally in fewest turnovers (46) and Â
also rank 13th nationally and second in the GLVC in assists per game (18.7).
FROM THREE-POINT RANGEThe Tritons have netted 60 three-point buckets, an average of 10.00 per game, which ranks second among GLVC teams. Junior transfer
Brandon Marquardt owns a team-high nine treys, while 10 players have made at least two this season. The Tritons are shooting 39 percent from beyond the arc.

Max Cook has 19 assists (3.2 apg) and just one turnover for an assist-turnover ratio of 19.0, which ranks first in NCAA DII.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTSLindenwood is 4-4 overall. The Lions are coming off a pair of weekend losses to open their MIAA schedule, which snapped a four-game win streak. Cory Arentsen averages 13.3 points and 3.0 assists per game and has made a team-high 17 three-pointers. Lindenwood has connected on 70 three-pointers as a team and is shooting 38.5 percent from long distance.
