DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – Senior
Shweta Galande of the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team carded a 79 on her first 18 holes of the NCAA Championship on Wednesday at the LPGA International.
Galande sits in a tie for 39th place in the field of 72 competitors. She finished plus three on her front nine with one birdie and four bogeys. Galande then finished plus four on the back nine. After shooting for par on holes 10-13, she double bogeyed 14 before bogeys on 15-17. Galande birdied 18 to finish seven over par.
Daniela Ortiz of Nova Southeastern leads all players with her five-under par 67.
Galande will tee off in tomorrow's second round at 10:20 a.m.
