ST. LOUIS, MO. – University of Missouri-St. Louis head women's tennis coach Rick Gyllenborg has announced the signing of Annie Hays (Edmond, Okla.) to a national letter of intent to join the Tritons program beginning with the 2014-15 academic year.
 
"We are excited about Annie joining our program," said Gyllenborg. "She was very well-liked when she visited and I believe she will fit in perfectly with the future plans of this team."
 
Hays preps at Edmond North High School, where she was the Oklahoma Class 6A regional champion as a freshman and sophomore. She also finished runner-up at #1 singles at the state meet as a freshman, while helping her team to a state runner-up finish. Hays' sophomore team won the Oklahoma Class 6A state championship.
 
She is ranked No. 6 in Oklahoma, No. 39 in the Gulf States and is No. 472 nationally. Hays' top ranking was No. 341 in 2011.
