UMSL Sports Hall Of Fame

Following are the UMSL Athletic Honor Roll Student-Athletes for the fall 2007 semester. There were a total of 69 student-athletes who earned athletic honor roll distinction, including at least one student-athlete from each of the 11 sports. In addition to the individual honors, the UMSL Women's Tennis team had the highest GPA among the 11 UMSL sports with a team GPA of 3.348

Biography:
Inducted: 2007
Dan Muesenfechter played two seasons at UMSL and led the men’s soccer team in goals scored in each of those two years. He was a two-time All-American selection in both 1979 and 1980, and both years at UMSL he helped lead the team to the NCAA Tournament, reaching the quarterfinals in 1980. He ranks ninth in the UMSL records in career scoring with 52 points, and is tenth in career goals scored with 20. His 14 goals scored in 1980 rank as the fifth best single season total in school history, and his 33 points that season rank as the sixth best in school history. His legacy with UMSL soccer continues today, as his daughter, Krisie, was a Daktronics All-Region selection last year for the UMSL women’s team, and his son Dan was a freshman on the men’s team this past season.
