Benjamin VandenBrink and
Jacob Warner finished second and third in the 5,000 meters at the GLVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday afternoon at Allgood-Bailey Stadium in Rolla, Mo.
It's the highest finish ever for the Tritons at the GLVC Championships surpassing the fourth-place finish by Warner in the 10,000 meters on Thursday evening. VandenBrink finished with a time of 14:59.97 while Warner crossed the line at 15:05.29.
UMSL finished in 10th place on the men's side with 19 points with 11 of those coming from Warner.
For the women,
Kayley Heeter and
Lily Wagemann competed in the 1500-meter run. Heeter finished 11th with a time of 5:14.22 while Wagemann took 12th at 5:15.72.
