ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's track and field teams had two runners place in the top 10 at the Millikin Big Blue Friday Night Invite in Decatur, Ill.
Benjamin VandenBrink was the Tritons' highest finisher as he finished third in the 1500 with a time of 3:54 which is a personal best.
Brett Lynch finished 13th in a time of 4:07.54 while
Gavin Love and
Michael Wright finished 16th and 28th with times of 4:10.68 and 4:27.38 respectively.
Sean Ede was ninth in the 5000 meters with a time of 15:20.87 while
Sam Savastino and
Matthias Shelp came in 10th and 12th with times of 15:28.38 and 15:30.70 respectively.
Kayley Heeter took 13th in the 1500 with a time of 5:07.95.
Lily Wagemann and
Ella Tynan were 13th and 14th in the 800 meters with times of 2:32.20 and 2:37.43 respectively.
UMSL is back in action next weekend competing at the GLVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Allgood-Bailey Stadium in Rolla, Mo. The competition begins next Thursday.
