HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s soccer team lost a 3-1 decision at No. 12 ranked Northern Kentucky Sunday afternoon in the Tritons’ final Great Lakes Valley Conference contest of the season.
UMSL falls to 4-11-1 on the season and ends the league schedule with a 4-9-1 record, ending a streak of 11 consecutive seasons with a bid to the postseason GLVC Tournament. Northern Kentucky improves to 15-2 overall and claimed the regular season conference title with a 12-2 record.
Senior Danielle Dahm recorded the lone score for the Tritons, scoring in the 81st minute on passes from seniors Anne Nesbit and Sarah Stone.
Northern Kentucky scored two first half goals and added a third in the 54th minute of the second half.
The Norse held a 31-13 advantage in shots, including a 13-6 edge in shots on goal.
Senior Amy Boehm played all 90 minutes in between the posts for the Tritons, recording nine saves.
Nesbit, senior Caitlin Farrow and sophomore Jesa Jenkins all took two shots.
UMSL is scheduled to close out the season with a Nov. 4 home contest against Washington University in St. Louis. That game was originally slated for Oct. 7 but was postponed due to poor field conditions. Go Back
