 September 13, 2009WARRENSBURG, MO. - Junior libero Carolyn Holstein of the University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team has been named to the Central Missouri Peggy Martin Challenge All-Tournament team.
Holstein averaged 6.6 digs per set for the Tritons, who posted a 2-2 record. She recorded a career-high 33 digs in a four-set loss to No. 8 ranked Central Missouri.
Holstein also notched 20 or more digs in UMSL's three other contests, including 20 in a three-set victory over St. Mary's (Texas), 22 in a four-set win over Edinboro and a 24 in a four-set loss to Pittsburg State, a team ranked No. 17 two weeks ago.
She also finished with eight service aces on the weekend, four of which came against St. Mary's.
