 April 28, 2009ST. LOUIS, MO. – University of Missouri-St. Louis head women’s basketball coach Lisa Curliss-Taylor has announced the signing of KeAmber Vaughn (Hazelwood, Mo.) to a national letter of intent to join the Tritons program beginning with the 2009-10 academic year.
Vaughn comes to UMSL following one season at Robert Morris-Springfield (Ill.) where she averaged 11.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.7 assists per game.
“We are very excited to have KeAmber join our program,” said Curliss-Taylor. “She is athletic, mobile and has a great touch around the basket. She should see immediate playing time for us at the three and four spots.”
As a prep, Vaughn was a three-year standout at Hazelwood Central, twice earning honorable mention all-metro honors. As a senior, she averaged 10.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.2 steals per game and was tabbed a Suburban North Conference second team selection. As a junior, she recorded 11.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
Vaughn has also been the recipient of numerous academic awards. Go Back
