Konkol Earns Third Straight Academic All-District Nod

ST. LOUIS, MO. – Senior Erin Konkol of the University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s golf team has been selected to the 2009 ESPN The Magazine College Division All-District VII women’s at-large first team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Konkol, an international business major, earns the honor for the third straight year.

Konkol posted a scoring average of 87.3 during the 2008-09 season, earning three top-15 finishes in 11 meets, while helping UMSL to seven top-four team finishes.

To be eligible for nomination to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team, nominees must own a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or better. As a first-team academic all-district selection, Konkol is now eligible for selection to the at-large Academic All-America team, to be announced on Tuesday, June 9.
