 October 07, 2008MADISON, ILL. – Led by junior Amie Koerner’s second place finish, the University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s golf team earned a fourth place finish in its own Triton & Bear Ladies Golf Invitational, played Monday and Tuesday at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill.
Koerner, who earned her third top-three finish of the season with the performance, fired rounds of 73 and 77 to finish with a 150 total, one stroke behind medalist Tara Wiley of Southern Indiana. Koerner’s play helped UMSL to rounds of 321 and 336 for a 613 on the 72-par, 6,154-yard course. Southern Indiana won the team title, shooting a 609 (295-314).
Also for the Tritons, senior Sarah Cissell tied for 21st place, shooting rounds of 80 and 85 for a 165 total. Fellow senior Erin Konkol placed 28th with an 83-84-167, while junior Leslie Fischer tied for 42nd place (85-90 175). Senior Jennifer Niehoff rounded out UMSL’s scoring with a 76th place finish (104-96 200). Go Back
