BELLEVILLE, ILL. - Junior Amie Koerner of the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's golf team earned a third place finish at the Midwest Shootout, helping the Tritons to a fourth-place tie in the eight team field Sunday and Monday at the Orchards Golf Club in Belleville, Ill.
Koerner fired rounds of 81 and 77 to finish with a 158 total. UMSL shot a 363 on the first day, but came back on day two to shoot a 336 for a 699 total. Indianapolis won the tournament with a 625 on the 71-par, 5,841-yard course.
Sarah Cissell shot a 179 (94-85) to tie for 21st place, while Erin Konkol fired a 180 (93-87) to tie for 22nd place. Also for the Tritons, Leslie Fischer tied for 26th place (95-87 182) and Jennifer Niehoff placed 40th (103-102 205).
UMSL will close out the fall campaign by co-hosting the Triton & Bear Ladies Invitational next Monday and Tuesday at Gateway National Links in Madison, Ill., with Washington University. Go Back
