September 22, 2008EVANSVILLE, IND. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s golf team finished in 14th place at the Ray Wright/Screaming Eagle Classic held Sunday and Monday at the Cambridge Golf Course.
The Tritons shot rounds of 353 and 338 to finish with a 691 total on the 72-par, 5,862-yard course. Indianapolis won the 15-team field event, with a 604 total (304-300).
Junior Amie Koerner paced UMSL with a 15th place finish individually. She fired rounds of 81 and 78 for a 159 score.
Senior Erin Konkol (88-82 170) finished in a tie for 45th, while senior Sarah Cissell (90-88 178) finished in a tie for 63rd. Junior Leslie Fischer (94-90 184) finished in 73rd place, while senior Jennifer Niehoff (101 93) rounded out the Tritons scoring with an 84th place finish.
UMSL returns to action next week at the Midwest Shootout in Belleville, Ill.
