Riggs Named to GLVC Third Team

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – Junior outfielder Megan Riggs of the University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team has been named to the all-Great Lakes Valley Conference third team.

Riggs leads the Tritons with a .364 batting average this season and also has team bests of 52 hits and 26 runs. She has also recorded a team-high eight stolen bases and three doubles.

Riggs helped UMSL to a regular season record of 26-24 and a 13-13 mark in the GLVC and its first berth in the league tournament since 2005.

The Tritons are seeded No. 7 in the GLVC tournament and open play against No. 2 seed SIUE today at 12 p.m.
