Women's Soccer Lands Two On All-Daktronics Team

ST. LOUIS, MO., November 7, 2007 – University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s soccer players Tara Reitz (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) and Rachel Lee (St. Louis, Mo./Duchesne) have been named to the Daktronics Great Lakes Region Second Team.

Reitz, a senior midfielder, led the team with 27 points this season, including eight goals and 11 assists. Reitz was also a first team all-Great Lakes Valley Conference honoree this year and is UMSL’s second all-time leader in assists (29) and ranks 14th in career scoring with 67 points.

Lee, a junior forward, was fourth on the team with 15 points, including six goals and three assists. She also earned third team all-GLVC honors earlier this season and ranks 23rd in school history with 46 career points.

The duo helped the Tritons to a 12-7-3 record in 2007 and a runner-up finish in the GLVC Conference Tournament.

The Daktronics all-region teams are nominated and voted on by sports information directors from schools in the respective regions. It is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., and focuses on awarding outstanding performances by student-athletes at the NCAA Division II level.
