October 25, 2007INDIANAPOLIS, IND., October 25, 2007 – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s soccer team had four players named to the all-Great Lakes Valley Conference team, including senior Tara Reitz (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) who earned first team honors for the second time in her career.
Reitz also earned first team accolades in 2005 and was a second team selection last season. The forward has a team-high 22 points this year, including seven goals and eight assists. She also ranks fifth in school history in career assists (26) and is tied for 14th in career scoring with 62 points.
A trio of Tritons also earned third team all-GLVC honors, including junior forward Rachel Lee (St. Louis, Mo./Duchesne), sophomore midfielder Amy Fox (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Jefferson) and sophomore back Maggie Gabris (Ballwin, Mo./Parkway South).
Lee was a first team selection last season and is third on the team in goals (6) and points (14). She also ranks 22nd in school history in career scoring with 45 points.
Fox owns a team-high eight goals this season and is second with 20 points. She also has a team-high five game-winning goals, which is tied for second in the GLVC.
Gabris has been a steady defender all season for the Tritons and also has five assists on the year.
USML, which stands at 10-7-2 on the season, opens GLVC Tournament action Sunday as the No. 5 seed and will travel to No. 4 seed Northern Kentucky for a 12 p.m. contest.
