McKendree Tops Women's Tennis, 6-3

ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s tennis team lost a 6-3 decision to non-conference foe McKendree Monday afternoon.

The Tritons opened the match by winning two of three doubles points. Stephanie Thompson and Yuki Takashima picked up an 8-5 win at No. 1, while Molly Striler and Stacy Goodman were 8-3 winners at No. 3.

However, McKendree won the match by taking singles matches at No. 1-No. 5. Goodman picked up the lone UMSL singles victory, winning 8-4 at No. 6.

UMSL (4-8) returns to action Friday at Indianapolis. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
