Before UMSL: Played two years at Itawamba (Miss.) Community College … averaged 9.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game as a sophomore and was third on the team in field goal percentage, hitting 55.6 percent from the field … reached double figure scoring in 14 games, including two where he scored a season-high 18 points … honorable mention all-state selection … played with current Triton Larricus Brown, where both led Itawamba CC to the Elite Eight of the NJCAA tournament and a season record of 27-6.

High School: Played at Raleigh Egypt High School for head coach Jimmy Adams … averaged 9.5 points, 3.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals as a senior on a team that went 33-3 … helped team to state runner-up finish … named MVP of the Memphis Preps All-Star team … all-district honoree … team was district and regional champions his junior and senior seasons.
