Biography:
2007: Played in 11 games, starting in four games, and pitched in 13 games... at the plate, collected four hits and scored six runs while hitting .222... went 3-for-4 with an RBI against Saint Joseph’s... on the mound, had a 1-2 record with a 5.01 ERA... pitched in 23.1 innings and recorded 11 strikeouts... picked up a win in relief against Wisconsin-Parkside, going 3.1 innings and giving up one run on three hits with one strikeout.

2006: Saw time in the outfield as well as on the mound… in the field, played in 26 games, starting in 21… hit .153 on the season, collecting 11 hits and scoring eight runs… had one double and six RBI on the year… went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI against Quincy… went 1-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBI in a win over Missouri-Rolla… on the mound, went 1-6 with an 8.46 ERA… had two complete games… picked up a win over Lewis, going 7.0 innings and giving up just three earned runs while striking out two.

2005: Played in 49 games on the season and started in 48 games… played most of the season in left field, but started in centerfield in 18 games… hit .205 on the season, collecting 32 hits and scored 12 runs while knocking in 12 RBI on the year… had three doubles and two triples on the season… had four multi-hit games on the season… had back-to-back two hit games in a doubleheader against Lewis, going 2-for-4 in each game with a combined three RBI… had a four-game hitting streak three different times, including a hit in each of the last four games of the year… pitched in three games on the season, throwing a total of 2.1 innings and giving up no runs and just four hits.

2004: Redshirted during the season.

High School: Played for head coach Bob Bunton at Parkway North High School… helped lead the Vikings to a 42-6 record and a fourth-place finish in the state tournament… hit .354 with 27 RBIs during his senior season… was named an all-conference selection his junior and senior years… was also an all-state selection and conference player of the year as a soccer player.

Personal: Born May 20, 1984… son of John and Kathie Sanders… brother Scott played two seasons at UMSL as a first baseman... majoring in business marketing.
