No. 16 Kentucky Wesleyan Hands Men's Basketball 66-30 Setback

OWENSBORO, KY. – No. 16 ranked Kentucky Wesleyan dealt the University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s basketball team a 66-30 loss Saturday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.

The Tritons finished with just eight field goals and shot 25.8 percent from the field in the defeat and slip to 10-13 overall, including 4-10 in the GLVC.

Kentucky Wesleyan, which held a 29-14 halftime lead, improves to 23-3 overall and 12-2 in the league.

UMSL was led by freshman Nicolai Oestbye’s eight points.

The host Panthers shot 45.5 percent and held a 30-19 rebounding advantage. Freshman Vinnie Raimando pulled down five rebounds.

UMSL returns to action Thursday, traveling to Rockhurst in a 7:30 p.m. contest.
