DeFosset Second in Division II in ERA in Final Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - In the final NCAA Division II softball stats released this week, senior Allyson DeFosset of the University of Missouri-St. Louis finished second nationally with a 0.74 ERA (earned run average), trailing only Kristen Erb of national champion Lock Haven, who recorded a 0.47 ERA.

DeFosset also finished the season ranked third nationally in saves (6.0), sixth in strikeouts (10.5) and 25th in victories (22.0).

DeFosset, who earned third team all-American honors and was named the GLVC Pitcher of the Year as well as the Daktronics Midwest Region Pitcher of the Year, helped UMSL to a 36-19 record and its first trip to the NCAA Regionals in 20 years.
