Bellarmine Hands Women's Tennis 6-3 Setback

LOUISVILLE, KY. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's tennis team lost a 6-3 verdict at Bellarmine Monday afternoon.

The Tritons (5-5) fell behind early with just one doubles victory - an 8-5 decision at No. 3 by freshmen Kristiana Lazarova and Kate Rynkiewich.

Rynkiewich then provided UMSL with another point, garnering a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles.

Also winning for the Tritons was junior Aya Gombo at No. 4 singles with a 6-3, 6-3 victory.

UMSL returns to action Friday, hosting Lewis at 10 a.m.
