ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s tennis team won its sixth straight overall match and fifth straight in Great Lakes Valley Conference action with a 6-3 victory over visiting Southern Indiana Saturday morning at the UMSL Tennis Courts.
The Tritons improved their ledger to 9-4, including 5-0 in league play with the win.
UMSL picked up doubles points at No. 1 by Andreas Dimke and Boris Simic with an 8-2 victory, and at No. 3 with an 8-1 victory by Peter Hantack and Andre Chemas.
In singles action, the Tritons won four of six matches, including Dimke at No. 1, 2-6, 7-5, 6-3; Tim Bryant at No. 4, 6-1, 6-3; Chemas at No. 5, 6-5, 7-6; and Hantack at No. 6, 6-0, 6-0.
UMSL returns to action Monday, hosting McKendree in non-conference action at 3:30 p.m.
