Men's Soccer Signs Burrus to National Letter of Inent

ST. LOUIS, MO. – University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s soccer coach Dan King has announced the signing of Matt Burrus (Quincy, Ill.) to a national letter of intent to join the Tritons program beginning with the 2010-11 academic year.

Burrus was a three-year letterwinner at Quincy High School where he recorded 35 career goals and 21 career assists. He twice earned all-conference and all-sectional honors and was an honorable mention all-state pick by the Chicago Tribune as a senior.

Burrus plays club soccer for SLSG Metro Academy #12.

“Matt is a very accomplished midfielder with great potential,” said King. “He has the ability to excel on both sides of the ball and we are extremely happy to have a player of his caliber commit to our program for the next four years.”
