October 12, 2009LOCKPORT, ILL. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team is in third place after the first round of competition at the Lewis Mixed Fall Classic on Monday. The Tritons shot a 303 and are 10 strokes behind leader Lincoln. Lewis is second with a 298.
Junior Matt Rau is tied for third place to pace the squad with a 73. Junior Matt McKiernan fired a 74 and is tied for seventh place, while junior Tim Cochran is tied for 18th with a 77. Rounding out the scoring is junior Ryan Penfield, who is tied for 23rd (79), while senior Ryan Higgins is tied for 27th (80).
