Rau Earns All-GLVC Honors in Men's Golf

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – Junior Matt Rau of the University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s golf team has been selected to the 2010 all-Great Lakes Valley Conference team, as announced today by the league.

Rau was one of five selected based on a vote of the league’s 14 coaches. Ten players in all earned the nod with five players being selected based on their top-five finish at the GLVC Tournament last month.

Rau recorded a scoring average of 75.5 this season and earned a berth to the NCAA Midwest/South Central Regional where he finished in a tie for 22nd place, shooting a 227 (73-75-79).

He recorded four top-10 finishes this season, including first place honors at the Illinois-Springfield Invitational in October, where he fired a 142 after carding a season-low 67 on the first 18 holes.

Rau tied for 13th place at the GLVC Championships, shooting a 225 (76-78-71).
