May 04, 2010DUNCAN, OKLA. - Junior Matt Rau of the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team shot a three over par 75 on his second round at the NCAA Midwest/South Central Regional Tuesday at The Territory Golf and Country Club.
Rau, who shot a 73 on yesterday's first round, owns a score of 148. He began the day in a tie for 28th place individually and despite finishing two strokes higher, has vaulted into an eight-way tie for 11th place.
Rau is three strokes behind leader Nick Gunthorpe of Grand Valley State, who sits one over par with a 141.
Rau will tee off at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow in the final 18 holes.
The top five teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals May 18-21 at The Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Ind. The finals will be hosted by the Indiana Sports Corporation, the University of Indianapolis, the Great Lakes Valley Conference and the Hamilton County Sports Authority.
