NOBLESVILLE, IND. - Junior Matt Rau tied for ninth place individually, leading the University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team to a ninth place team finish at the Great Lakes Regional #3 held Sunday and Monday at the Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind.
Rau shot a 73 on both rounds for a two-day score of 146, helping UMSL to a 608 (299-309).
Wayne State (MIch.) claimed the team title with a 580 to pace the 22-team field.
Also for the Tritons, juniors Tim Cochran and Ryan Penfield each tied for 30th place, shooting 151's. Cochran fired rounds of 72 and 79, while Penfield had rounds of 74 and 77.
Junior Matt McKiernan (T85th) shot a 160 (80-80), while Blair Spencer (112th) fired a 178 (90-88).
UMSl concludes its season April 15-16 at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament in Columbus, Ind. Return To Articles
