ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s soccer team improved its win streak to three games with a 1-0 victory over visiting Bellarmine Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action at Don Dallas Field.
Freshman Lindsey Krull put the lone score on the board for the Tritons, firing a shot from the top of the box and netting the goal in the 72nd minute off a player deflection following a corner kick by junior Danielle Dahm.
With the win, UMSL moves its ledger to 3-4-1 on the season, including 3-1-1 in the GLVC. Bellarmine slips to 4-4-1 and 1-4 in the league with the loss.
The Tritons took nine shots in the contest, landing three on goal, with junior Maggie Gabris accounting for two shots.
Freshman Hanna Sayre improved her record to 2-1-1 in the keeper position, posting two saves. Bellarmine took eight shots.
UMSL returns to action Wednesday, Oct.1, traveling to former GLVC foe SIU Edwardsville in a 7 p.m. contest.
