Competition for the 2008 season kicks off this weekend for the UMSL volleyball and soccer teams.

The Tritons volleyball squad will travel to Rolla, Mo., for the 2008 Missouri S&T Middle of Everywhere Classic. Under the direction of first-year head coach Trent Jones, UMSL will begin play Friday afternoon against No. 3 ranked Truman State. The Tritons will also face North Alabama, St. Cloud State and Missouri Western in tournament play.

ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s basketball team will be hosting its first 3-on-3 tournament Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Mark Twain Building.

Games begin at 9 a.m. and the tournament will consist of six different divisions, including adult men (18+), adult women (18+), junior men (14-17), junior women (14-17), youth boys (8-13) youth girls (8-13).

ST. LOUIS, MO. – University of Missouri-St. Louis head women’s basketball coach Lisa Curliss-Taylor has announced the addition of Mandi Rogers (Omaha, Ark.) to the 2008-09 roster.

"Mandi will be an immediate impact at the guard spot,” said Curliss-Taylor. “She has the ability to push the ball in transition, see the floor and has a great shooting ability. We are excited to have her join the program."
