UMSL Sports Hall Of Fame

Following are the UMSL Athletic Honor Roll Student-Athletes for the fall 2007 semester. There were a total of 69 student-athletes who earned athletic honor roll distinction, including at least one student-athlete from each of the 11 sports. In addition to the individual honors, the UMSL Women's Tennis team had the highest GPA among the 11 UMSL sports with a team GPA of 3.348

Biography:
Inducted: 2004
Dave Roither was a three-time All-American for the men’s swimming team, qualifying for the national tournament in various events in both 1991 and 1992. In 1991, he finished seventh nationally as part of the 200-medley relay team to earn his first All-American honor. The following year he placed sixth in the 200-yard freestyle relay and in the 400-yard freestyle relay for two more All-American honors. He is part of the relay teams that set the school record in both the 200 and 400-yard freestyle relay. As a student-athlete, Roither participated in campus activities as well as athletics, serving for two years as the Vice President of the UMSL Student Government Association.
